THE lucky winner of the Knaresborough in Bloom Silent Auction was Lesley Brown from York.
The prize of a stained glass panel, The Flying Pig, was donated by Judy Dickinson, of the former Flying Pig Glass Company on Kirkgate, Knaresborough, to help raise funds for the artboards project at Knaresborough Railway Station.

The panel was on display at the Art in the Mill gallery in Green Dragon Yard throughout feva and the bids were opened at Knaresborough House on Friday, August 21.

Mrs Brown's bid was successful and she was delighted to visit the Art in the Mill to collect the panel and hand over her cheque for £135.02.

Chairman of Knaresborough in Bloom, Christine Willoughby said: “I am delighted that Lesley and her family could come and collect the panel and enjoy the end of the feva festival.

“The auction of the panel now means that Knaresborough in Bloom has virtually all the money we need to go ahead with this exciting project at the station.

“Many thanks to Art in the Mill for hosting the panel and helping with the silent auction.”

Knaresborough in Bloom hopes to install a number of artboards at Knaresborough Railway Station over the next few months as a further art attraction for the town.
