KNARESBOROUGH Horticultural Society Early Show will once again be held in Holy Trinity Church Hall on Saturday, August 29 (Bank Holiday weekend).
This year’s event from 11am until 5pm will be for one day only, in a change to previous years, but there’s still plenty of opportunity to see the displays of vegetables, fruits, flowers, jams, cakes and handicrafts.

The Knaresborough Schools Photographic Competition is a new item this year and is supported by Knaresborough in Bloom encouraging six to15 year olds to submit entries of their view of Knaresborough at its best.

There are opportunities for everyone to enter, be it with a rose from your garden, a pot plant, sweet peas, dahlias, onions, peas or carrots, ginger biscuits or a Yorkshire tea cake, an unframed painting or a jar of jam.

For entry forms, please call Mike Prest on 01423 869951 or Joan Barton on 01423 864357 or pick up a form from the office of the Knaresborough Post at 90, High Street.

Allotment holders are asked to note there is a special section specifically for allotment fruit and vegetables.
