Now here's something to chirp about!

VOLUNTEERS from Knaresborough in Bloom and Harrogate Borough Council's Arboricultural team headed for Conyngham Hall last week to take part in National Nest Box Week.
Natural nest sites are fast disappearing as gardens and woods are tidied and old houses are repaired and the event launched every year by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) aims to encourage people to put up nest boxes. "Without wildlife, our woodlands and gardens would be a very dull place indeed" said a spokesperson from Knaresborough in Bloom. "We chose Conyngham Hall because it is part of the old Knaresborough Forest where there are lots of large beech trees for the boxes."
