Alright for the knight as horse returns in one piece.

Riding high – From left, with the sculpture outside Knaresborough House are Chair of Knaresborough in Bloom Christine Willoughby, Mike Middleton of Harrogate Parks, Mayor’s Consort, Coun Kevin Hawkins and Mayor, June Cooke.

HE'S back! - Knaresborough's own Millennium Knight on a Charger has returned to his rightful place at the front of Knaresborough House after a lengthy absence of 15 months. The wicker woven horse with his seated knight was presented to the town by the Knaresborough in Bloom committee in 2000 as a Millenniuin gift but on Mischief Night in November 2002, vandals destroyed the knight by removing its head resulting in the horse being taken away for repair. Whitby-based sculptor, Emina Stothard who made the horse has been hard at work making a replacement head and putting him back together again. Thanks to the efforts of the Knaresborough in Bloom committee and the Town Council, he is now safely back where he belongs.
